Locations

Level train crossing - The shots scened here are at the very beginning and end of the video, showing the progression of the train throughout the video, making reference to the passing of time and moving on.
Home - This is the place where the story takes place, as he packs up his suit case and his guitar and leaves his home.
Studio - These sections of the film are small cut aways from the storyline, and the focus is on the guitar playing. This is also helped with there being no background, the wall is plain black with, with a spotlight over the artist and the guitar.

Lyrics to Memphis

Memphis by Coffey Anderson

Lyrics

Verse 1
Anybody ever had a broken heart but me
They told me love was blind and promised that I couldn’t see
So now I’m lying on the floor watching ceiling fans go round
I’ve got a suitcase packed by the door because I’m leaving town

Chorus

I’m trading my broken heart for a one-way ticket to Memphis
My broken dreams for the keys to the life of my own
I’m trading my broken heart for a one-way ticket to Memphis
I want to know if you’re going to come along

Oh to Memphis…Oh Lord Oh World
Oh to Memphis…Oh Lord Oh World

Verse 2

Anybody ever had to cry yourself to sleep at night
Keep praying and wishing that someone’s going to hold them tight
With nothing but a dream and the clothes that are on your back
Its like you’re always on the right train never ever on the right track

Chorus

I’m trading my broken heart for a one-way ticket to Memphis
My broken dreams for the keys to a life of my own
I’m trading my broken heart for a one-way ticket to Memphis (Lord I want to know)
I want to know if you’re going to come along

Solo

Oh to Memphis…Oh Lord Oh World
Oh to Memphis…Oh Lord Oh World

Solo

Oh to Memphis
